COVID-19 UPDATED At-A-Glance

Symptomatic: (Regardless of Vaccination Status)

  • Should go home or stay home.
  • Should test or see Primary Care Provider for alternative diagnosis.

Test Positive: (Isolation)

  • Students should isolate 5 full days after positive test or symptoms first appeared regardless of vaccination status.
  • Staff are required to isolate for 5 days after positive test or symptoms first appeared.
  • If a staff member tests positive for COVID, they should report this to their immediate supervisor.
  • Day 0 is first day of symptoms or positive test date. Day 1 is the first full day after symptoms developed or positive test date.
  • May return on Day 6 if 24-hours fever-free without fever-reducing medication, no symptoms or symptoms mostly improved.
  • Should wear a well-fitting mask around others on days 6-10, especially in indoor settings.
  • If unable to wear a well-fitting mask, should continue to isolate for a full 10 days.

If staff continue to test positive after day 5:

  • Continue to isolate and retest in 24-48 hours.
  • May end isolation and stop wearing mask after 2 negative sequential (back-to-back) tests each performed 24-48 hours apart.

Exposed: (Regardless of Vaccination Status)

  • Should monitor for symptoms for 10 days post exposure.
  • Should test 3-5 days after exposure.
  • Consider wearing a well-fitted mask for 10 days after exposure.
  • Exposed students and staff may continue to take part in all in-person instruction, sports, performing arts, and other extracurricular activities as long as they are not symptomatic or test positive.
