Puyallup School District is committed to ensuring every family can fully participate in their child’s education, regardless of the language they speak.
Free Language Services for Families
The district provides free interpretation and translation services in more than 200 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Indigenous languages. Families can request support for school meetings, classroom events, and district communications at no cost.
Whether you are a new family enrolling a student, attending a parent-teacher conference, or reviewing important school documents, our language access team is here to make communication clear, accessible, and culturally responsive.

- School rules and discipline
-
Attendance, absences, and withdrawal
-
Parent permission for activities or programs

Additional Translation Services and Resources
Note: We encourage you to first contact your child’s school to request immediate support with translation needs. You can access a list of school email addresses here, or email languageaccess@puyallupsd.org to inquire about services.
If you receive information that is not in your language, please let the school know you would like it translated in writing or explained orally to you in your language.
Concerns about Translation Services?
If you have concerns about the school’s interpretation or translation services—or if you were not offered an interpreter or translation you needed—you have several options.
Talk With Your Principal or a School Employee You are Comfortable With
A discussion with your school principal is often the best first step to address your concerns. Explain what happened, and let the principal know what they can do to help resolve the problem.
Talk With Your School District
You can also contact Puyallup School District's Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator, Gordon Brobbey, at (253) 840-8863 or brobbg@puyallupsd.org to share your concerns.
You Can File a Complaint
To file a complaint, explain what happened in writing—in any language—and send it to the district by mail, email, or hand delivery. Make sure to keep a copy for your records. Within 30 calendar days, the district will investigate your complaint and respond to you in writing.
Ask For Help Resolving Your Concerns
