Spring Stakeholder Survey Now Open Through May 9
Beginning the week of April 14 through May 9, the Puyallup School District invites students, staff, and families to participate in our annual stakeholder input surveys. Your feedback contributes to identifying strengths and opportunities for growth across our schools.
Survey links will be shared with staff and families through ParentSquare on April 16. If you do not receive access to the survey, please email communications@puyallupsd.org.
The feedback collected through our Spring Stakeholder Surveys provides valuable insight into stakeholder perceptions of teaching and learning, organizational culture and climate, and student experiences in the classroom.
All responses are confidential. The survey will remain open through 11:59 p.m. on May 9, 2025, and is accessible by using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Thank you in advance for your participation. Creating and maintaining an organization that fosters inclusive education, caring and compassionate leadership, successful professional learning, and development and celebration of a diverse student population and workforce is a collective responsibility. Your feedback will help us improve learning environments, provide systems of support, and continue to graduate students who are happy, strong, and ready to take on the world.
General Information: Frequently Asked Questions
How were the spring stakeholder surveys developed?
The Spring Stakeholder Surveys are designed to gather perceptions around teaching and learning, school and organizational culture, and experiences in the classroom.
Adapted from previous survey models, the survey focuses on one idea at a time, using questions with positive language for easier understanding. Participants receive five response options to capture a wider range of perceptions and avoid an “agree-disagree” format.
Who can participate in the survey? Will all teachers and schools participate?
Staff, students (grades 3-12) and families will have the opportunity to take the stakeholder survey specific to them from April 14 to May 9. Student surveys will begin being administered the week of April 21.
How will the survey results be used?
Survey data helps educators reflect and improve and can also be used to highlight priorities, track improvement, and evaluate programs.
Schools and teachers can use the results to set specific priorities for professional development and coaching support, design effective teaching practices and more engaging learning environments, and take actions that will improve student experience in school.
Can I see the student survey questions?

Approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on the type of survey. For students, the time to complete the survey in class, including material distribution and instruction, should not last longer than 30 minutes.
How is the survey administered to students in different age groups?

Students in grades 3-12 follow a standard protocol that involves the teacher administering the survey with the students reading the survey themselves. Specific details and instructions are outlined in separate administration instructions and scripts for the survey levels.
What should parents do if they do not want their child to participate?
Parents who do not want their children to participate in the survey should contact their child’s school or classroom teacher (elementary grades) to opt out of participation.
