Puyallup High Students and District Staff and Community Leader Earn Statewide Recognition

Four Puyallup award recipients hold plaques at the 2025 WASA Region 111 Awards, including two students, one staff member, and one community leader.

The Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) Region 111 annual awards ceremony took place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Pierce County Skills Center in Puyallup. The Puyallup School District nominated the following four individuals for their outstanding contributions to education, leadership, and community.

PSD Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning for Professional Learning, Candice McGregor, was honored with the WASA Award of Merit for her visionary work in new educator induction, focusing on equity and fostering a sense of belonging, which has directly impacted student outcomes.

Puyallup High School Junior Patience Chege (left) and Senior Avery Reisinger (right)  both received the WASA Student Leadership Award. Patience was recognized for her commitment to inclusivity and equity, while Avery was honored for her dedication to fostering belonging, uplifting peers, and her service and dedication as a School Board Student Representative.

Greg Heath received the Community Leadership Award for his devotion to education, advocacy for vital levies and bonds, and unwavering dedication to Puyallup as an alumnus and community leader.
