PSD School Board Earns Statewide Recognition

On November 1, 2024, the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA) honored the Puyallup School District School Board with a Board of Distinction award. This recognition encourages school boards to align district initiatives with Washington School Board Standards, showing evidence of progress in closing opportunity gaps.

“We are deeply honored to receive the Board of Distinction recognition again for the third consecutive year,” said Board President Joseph Romero. “This accolade is a testament to the dedication of our staff, students, and community in maintaining a clear, successful direction for the district with Superintendent Dr. Polm.”

In total, 37 school boards statewide were honored, and award recipients are considered for the annual Board of the Year award at the WSSDA Annual Conference in Spokane later this month.
