National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week

Police vehicles with flashing lights line a street in the background. A banner reads, "Honoring Service & Sacrifice – National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week. Read More at PuyallupSD.org," with the Puyallup School District logo and Family & Community Engagement emblem.

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week is observed annually to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers, highlighting their vital role in maintaining public safety and upholding the law in communities across the country.

The week serves as an opportunity to recognize the dedication, integrity, and courage officers demonstrate daily, while also fostering greater understanding, respect, and partnership between law enforcement agencies and the individuals they serve.

We encourage our communities to express gratitude for their continued efforts in building safer neighborhoods and responding with professionalism. Educational efforts and acts of appreciation during this week help reinforce the shared goal of a strong, connected, and secure community.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our local law enforcement partners for their commitment to protecting and serving our schools and neighborhoods.
