A headshot of PSD Superintendent John Polm

Dear Puyallup School District Community,

Election results today show the Capital Levy is currently passing with 51.2% approval from voters.

Although results are unofficial until certification occurs February 23, I am humbled and honored by the trust our community has placed in us by voting in favor of the capital levy. The successful passage of this measure is a reflection of our community’s commitment to our students, staff, and the future of education in our district.

As your Superintendent, I am deeply grateful for our community’s support, which will allow us to address 906 critical projects districtwide, encompassing building improvements, technology upgrades, safety and security enhancements, and outdoor program improvements. These projects are essential to ensuring that our learning environments continue to evolve to meet the needs of our students and staff.

Our community’s investment in Puyallup Schools will help us replace, improve, and restore valuable public infrastructure, and I am excited about the positive impact this will have on the educational experience for all members of our community. Additionally, we are committed to keeping you informed about the progress of these projects through regular updates and posts through 'Foundations for our Future'. We believe in transparency and want to ensure you are aware of the positive changes happening within our district.

Thank you again for your trust, your support, and your belief in the power of education to transform lives. Together, we are building a brighter future for the Puyallup School District.

In Service and Gratitude,
Dr. John Polm
Superintendent
