We’re calling on parents, students, businesses, and community members—including homeowners without children currently attending our schools to submit a volunteer application by August 23!

What are Bonds, and how can my voice make an Impact?

Bonds are essential for building projects and require a 60% plus one voter approval rating.

Help us review the facts and determine if our school facilities need upgrades and should be put to a public vote. These choices directly impact the quality and safety of our school buildings and could potentially affect property taxes for thousands of Puyallup and Edgewood homeowners.

Bond Advisory Committee (BAC)

The BAC will be pivotal in advising on the planning, development, and prioritization of a district bond measure. The committee is tasked with giving a recommendation to the superintendent and school board about bond scope and financing, including the timing of an election potentially set for February 11, 2025. The final report and recommendation are due on November 18, 2024. Additionally, the BAC may aid administration in presenting progress reports and facilitating public bond planning forums.

• Positions Available:
  • Nine community members (Regions 1, 2, & 3)
  • Three construction industry partners
  • Three high school students (Grades 10-12, Regions 1, 2, & 3)
  • Two Puyallup PTA Council representatives
     
• Meetings: Five tentative meetings are scheduled, with potential for additional dates. A full-day meeting is under consideration. For more details, refer to the BAC Charter.
