Global Education Program Recognizes Rogers High

Rogers High School AVID Educators holding up an AVID Demonstration School Banner

Congratulations to Rogers High School on being selected by AVID.org as a National Demonstration School for the school’s AVID program! This achievement places them in the top 1 percent of AVID 8,000 programs across the country.

What is AVID?

AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is an international educational program designed to support students in their journey through high school and beyond. It focuses on instruction, rigor and college preparedness.

In order to be selected as a National Demonstration School, the RHS AVID program demonstrated excellence in those areas, offering students the opportunity to excel academically and pursue higher education goals.

“Being named a National Demonstration School means we are a premier learning lab for education,” said RHS Principal Jason Smith. “Our dedicated educators have worked tirelessly to create a college-going and career-ready culture for all students, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed.”
