Elementary Schools Celebrate Read Across America 2025

Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program created by the National Education Association (NEA). Taking place on March 2nd, the program is designed to encourage children and young adults to develop a love for reading.

Celebrating Student Reading and Promoting Literacy

Every year, schools organize various events in conjunction with Read Across America, such as read-alouds and book-themed activities, to promote reading and highlight its importance in student academic success.

Also, these events provide an excellent opportunity for parents, teachers, and communities to come together to encourage and celebrate the joy of reading.

Earlier this week, some of our elementary schools began celebrating Read Across America by hosting spirit days and by bringing their favorite book to class. Even more schools will participate in the program next week.
