What to Expect

Attendees will learn about the district's ASL-Dual Language Program's mission and model, classroom environment, curriculum, benefits, and more.

Families of incoming kindergarten and first-grade students for the 2025-26 school year will receive registration support for the 2025-26 ASL-Dual Language Program at the event.

ASL Interpreters will be provided at the event to assist with communication.

About ASL-Dual Language

The Puyallup School District's American Sign Language (ASL)-Dual Language Program delivers a comprehensive educational experience that is dedicated to fostering the acquisition, maintenance, and study of ASL. This program is designed for all deaf and hard-of-hearing students, as well as individuals who express an interest in learning ASL.

This dual language program fosters fluency in ASL, deepens understanding of Deaf culture, and builds a strong, inclusive community of ASL signers.
