Aylen Junior High, Puyallup Open Doors, and Zeiger Elementary have been recognized by the Washington State Board of Education and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) for exceptional student growth and progress during the 2024-25 school year.

In the weeks following the April 4 fire at Ferrucci Junior High, an extraordinary, behind-the-scenes effort has been underway to support students' return to in-person learning.

On May 19, the Puyallup School District will host a reimagined college fair experience designed to challenge assumptions, expand opportunity, and provide transparent insight into how colleges evaluate applicants and award financial aid. 

In February 2026, the Puyallup School District shared an initial plan with the School Board to address budget adjustments for the 2026–27 school year. Following extensive feedback from staff, families, students, and the community, the Board reviewed a final proposal in March that prioritizes preserving classroom programs and student supports.

Teen Late Night returns Jan. 9 at the Mel Korum YMCA. Free weekly drop-in for grades 9–12 with sports, games, fitness, and safe supervision from 9:30–11:30 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, December 10, families can submit an In-District Transfer Request or Out-of-District Waiver for junior high and high school students for the 2026-27 school year.
