Overview
Are you available to work 2 to 3 hours in the middle of the day? Our substitute position is an on-call position, offering various days and various shifts at all school locations throughout the district.
The work involves serving food to our students, washing dishes and general kitchen help. Substituting allows you the freedom to not work on days you're not available. It also gives you an opportunity to try out different Food Service locations (Assistant Server at an Elementary School or Kitchen Helper at a Secondary School, etc.) to see what is the best fit for you.
Permanent positions come with sick leave, vacation pay, uniform allowance and other benefits. Working 3.5 hours or more per day in a permanent position provides medical benefits.

Education and Experience
- Three months of related work experience.
- Licenses/Special Requirements: Pierce or King County Food Worker Card and Criminal justice fingerprint clearance (completed upon hire).
