Overview

Speech Language Pathologists are key staff in reform efforts in elementary and secondary schools by focusing on helping students with a wide range of speech–language-related challenges to meet performance standards. Their work includes prevention, assessment, intervention, and program design efforts that are integrated within a school.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech-language disorders
  • Participate in developing IEP's and measurable goals
  • Help students overcome speech and language challenges
  • Address the diverse needs of students
  • Collaborate with Special Education Colleagues and Teachers
  • Inspire and empower student success

Qualifications 

  • Valid Washington State ESA Certificate with appropriate endorsements.
