Overview

Certificated Educational Staff Associates (ESA's) serve students in a variety of ways in collaboration with special education leaders, teachers, counselors, administrators, and families.   

Job Responsibilities

  • The job of Occupational Therapist is done for the purpose/s of participating in the development, implementation, and coordination of an occupational therapy program to provide screening, evaluation, and treatment of exceptional students. The employee must select, from a wide range of activities, the program activity appropriate for each student.
  • School Psychologists support students’ learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health using problem solving, assessment, data-based decision-making, and the delivery of evidenced-based interventions. School psychologists collaborate and consult with educators, families, and other professionals to help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.
  • The job of Social Worker is done for the purpose/s help counselors, teachers and administrators address the behavioral, mental health and social emotional learning needs of all students through an equity-based tiered system of support. The purpose and role of the school social worker is to provide an integral link between school, home and the community in helping students achieve academic and social success.

Qualifications 

  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid Washington State ESA Certificate with appropriate endorsements.     

Education and Experience

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or Doctorate from an accredited university or college.  
  • Experience: Varies based on position.
