Developmental Preschool

Overview

Puyallup School District Preschool Programs are for preschool-age students ages 3-5 with identified disabilities requiring special education services. If you have concerns regarding your preschool-age child's development and you reside within the Puyallup School District please contact our Special Services Department at (253) 841-8700 to set up a developmental screening.

This program is free to families if their child requires it and is provided with funding from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Where and When are the Preschool Programs Offered?

Developmental preschool programs are offered at 10 of our 22 elementary schools. There is a half-day program that runs Tuesday through Friday and an extended-day program that runs Monday through Friday. No Developmental or Extended Day Preschool on Early Release days.
