High School & Beyond Plan
Overview
The High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) is a state graduation requirement designed to guide students through high school and prepare them for postsecondary education, training, and careers.
Initiated in seventh grade with a career interest and skills inventory, the HSBP is revised throughout high school to reflect changing interests and goals.
The HSBP helps students explore skills and interests, connect career pathways with courses, and identify steps needed to achieve postsecondary goals. It tracks graduation requirements and entry into postsecondary programs and careers, encouraging students to take ownership of their high school experience by choosing relevant coursework and activities.
