College and Career Readiness
Overview
College and Career readiness refers to a student's level of preparedness for college, career, and life. Our focus is on preparing students to successfully plan and pursue an education and career path aligned to their personal goals, with the ability to adapt and innovate as demands change.
We collaborate with our family, community, business, and education partners to provide students with meaningful engagement and guidance about their options after graduation. Our goal is to prepare all students for success in their postsecondary endeavors by helping them understand who they are, where they’re headed, and how they’ll get there.
College Readiness
College readiness refers to the level of preparedness for any academic work beyond high school that leads to a credential (such as a skilled trade license, certificate, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree) and includes apprenticeships, two- and four-year institutions, trade schools, military, and certificate programs.
Career Readiness
Career Readiness starts with educational exploration and preparation that supports access into high-demand, family-wage employment in a fulfilling and rewarding career with the opportunity for advancement.
