Our Search for the Next PSD Superintendent
The Puyallup School District Board of Directors is searching for the next superintendent for Puyallup School District (PSD).
This page will be used to share the Board’s process for selecting the next superintendent, including information for candidates, engagement opportunities for the PSD community, and updates on the selection process.
Choosing a new superintendent is one of the most important decisions for our schools and our community. We strongly believe that finding the best candidate will only be accomplished with our community’s partnership and involvement. Your input will help shape the leadership profile and guide the board toward a final decision.
Community Engagement Opportunities
The Puyallup School Board has retained the executive search firm Northwest Leadership Associates (NWLA) to conduct a national search for the next superintendent. The first step in this process is developing a leadership profile that will help identify the ideal candidate. Here is how you can be involved:
Community members were asked to participate in an Leadership Profile survey October 13 through February 4, 2026. The anonymous survey has now closed. Thank you to our families, staff, and community members who shared their perspectives. Your feedback is valuable and helps guide our planning and decision-making.
Meet the Superintendent Finalists
The Puyallup School Board has identified three finalists in its search for the district’s next superintendent. Staff, families, and community members are invited to participate in upcoming public forums and provide feedback as each finalist visits the district.
To allow additional time for participation, the district has extended the deadline for submitting questions for the superintendent finalists.
Community members are encouraged to submit questions for consideration during the public forums by 5 p.m. Monday, March 2.
Each finalist has been assigned a specific day this week to visit the district; March 3, 4, or March 5. Finalists will participate in a full day of meetings and school visits, concluding with a staff and community forum.
All forums will be livestreamed.

Finalist Schedule
The School Board will select three finalists from the superintendent applicant pool. Each finalist will spend one full day onsite meeting with principals, student leaders, staff, and union representatives, as well as touring schools and district facilities. Each finalist will be assigned a region of the district for their visit.
Each evening will include a public forum where district staff and community members may ask questions of the finalists and provide feedback. This portion of the process will be facilitated by the executive search firm Northwest Leadership Associates (NWLA).
Prior to the scheduled forums, stakeholders will have the opportunity to submit questions in advance, which NWLA may incorporate into the forums. During the forums, a QR code and online link will be available on the district website to allow community members to submit feedback on each candidate. Staff and community forums will be livestreamed, and event links will be posted on the Superintendent Search webpage.
The following schedules reflect the confirmed onsite visit dates and activities for each finalist.
