Overview
The Office of Student Success is responsible for overseeing a collection of critical programs and services that support students’ academic and social emotional needs.
In collaboration with our families and community partners, our team is committed to providing equitable access to supports and services that contribute to students’ success and enhance their sense of belonging and wellbeing.
Oversight Areas

Data and Research - Tracks student learning through state and district tests to help schools improve.

Dual Language Education - Provides instruction in two languages to build academic success, bilingualism, and cross-cultural understanding.

Equity and Student Success - Focuses on closing opportunity gaps and ensuring all students have the resources and support they need to thrive.

Highly Capable Programs - Offers advanced learning opportunities and enrichment for students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability.

Language Access and Supports - Ensures families who speak languages other than English have access to interpretation, translation, and communication supports.

Multilingual Education (MLE) - very district is required to maintain written procedures for identifying Multilingual/English Learners. As part of this process, districts must determine the primary language of each newly enrolled student and assess eligibility for multilingual services. This determination must be completed no later than the tenth day of the student’s attendance, using the state-approved language proficiency placement test.

Native American Education - Supports Native students’ academic achievement while honoring cultural heritage and strengthening connections with tribal communities.

Title I/Learning Assistance Program - Provides additional academic help in reading, math, and other areas to students who need extra support.

Student Support Services - Coordinates essential services such as McKinney -Vento (homeless youth), behavioral health, foster care support, and attendance initiatives

In-District and Out-of-District Waivers - Manages requests for students to attend schools outside their residential boundaries.

Transition to Kindergarten - Prepares Pre-K-aged children with early learning focused on social, emotional, and academic growth.
