The City of Puyallup is constructing a new sidewalk along Wildwood Park Drive, between 31st Ave SE and 26th Ave SE, to enhance pedestrian safety and encourage non-motorized travel.
The Purpose
This addition, comprising 1,550 linear feet, aims to close a gap in the existing pathway and is part of ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian infrastructure.
Closures
During construction, which starts in mid-November and may last until February, there will be lane and sidewalk closures, and the public is urged to heed temporary signage and flagger instructions.
Increasing Safety
The project is a continuation of work that will extend the sidewalk past Ferrucci High School and include safety features like rapid flashing beacons for crosswalks and upgrades to local utilities, such as stormwater facilities.
