Meeker Elementary's Upgrades Foster Inclusive Outdoor Learning with New Track and Playground Enhancements Work continues at Meeker Elementary with the recent installation of asphalt for the new track, designed to feature an accessible and inclusive play surface. This initiative represents a fantastic collaboration between parents, the district, and our community, all committed to enhancing our children's outdoor learning experiences.
In addition to the upgrades to the PTA-funded playground equipment, voter-approved capital levy funds are supporting the modernization of aging infrastructure. The Capital Projects team is installing stormwater drains, updating the track, restriping hard courts, and adding inclusive ground cover. These enhancements are designed to create a safe and welcoming environment for every student, including those with disabilities, ensuring that all children can fully participate in and benefit from outdoor learning activities.
Together, these improvements will foster an inclusive playground that supports the diverse needs of our student body, making outdoor education more accessible and enriching for everyone at Meeker.
