Thanks to your approval of the 2024 Capital Levy, we are excited to announce a significant project that will enhance traffic flow around Fruitland Elementary. Fruitland Elementary’s entrance is on a curved, highly traveled stretch of road along S. Fruitland, making entering and exiting the school challenging during peak drop-off and pick-up times.
This fall, we are partnering with Team JMJ, a local civil engineer and land planning expert, to begin studying current traffic patterns. The planned traffic modifications aim to keep students, families, and the community safe during high-traffic times by creating a safer and more efficient flow of vehicles.
These improvements will benefit not only Fruitland Elementary students but the entire community. The work will enhance student safety during drop-off and pick-up times, reduce neighborhood residents' congestion, and improve access to emergency vehicles. By creating smoother traffic flow, we also minimize the environmental impact of idling vehicles and contribute to a more sustainable community.
We are grateful for your support in making these essential improvements possible!
