Summer Repairs Continue at Rogers High School

Summer construction is underway at Rogers High School as crews continue a multi-year effort to address aging roof components and protect school facilities. 

Last summer, work began on the administration and classroom buildings. Crews repaired dry-rotted roof eaves, installed new fascia boards and flashing, and added an updated gutter and downspout system. These improvements enhance drainage and help prevent future water damage. 

This week, the next phase of the project began at the gymnasium. Construction fencing and safety barriers are in place as crews start repairing dry-rotted roof eaves. Similar to last year’s work, this phase includes removing and replacing damaged wood, reinforcing affected areas, and making improvements designed to extend the life of the building. 

These repairs address areas that have experienced long-term exposure to weather and moisture. By proactively replacing deteriorated materials, the district can help prevent more costly structural issues in the future while maintaining safe and functional facilities. 

This work is part of the district’s proactive approach to facility maintenance and is funded by the 2024 Capital Levy. Thank you to our community for making these improvements possible.
