While students were soaking up their spring break, the gym at Stewart Elementary was getting a high-tech refresh—thanks to voter-approved funding from the 2024 Capital Levy! Crews were hard at work installing a brand-new audiovisual (AV) system that was ready to roll when students returned to school Monday.
Brighter Screens, Better Sound, and Easier Presentations
The upgraded system includes a high-powered Epson projector, a retractable Da-Lite screen, and wireless HDMI connections—making it easier than ever for staff to share videos, slideshows, and student work. Whether it’s a talent show, school assembly, or guest speaker, everyone in the gym will get a crisp, clear view.
But that’s not all! New JBL speaker arrays and a professionally tuned sound system will bring balanced, high-quality audio to every corner of the gym and commons. No more muffled microphones or hard-to-hear announcements—just clean, even sound for every student, family member, and guest.
Equity in Every Seat
One of the biggest benefits of the AV upgrade is the way in which the space provides equitable sound. With clearer visuals and enhanced sound coverage, the experience becomes more inclusive for everyone—no matter where you're sitting. It’s a big step toward creating a more equitable learning and event space for the whole Stewart community.
This project isn’t just about fancy equipment—it’s about making shared spaces more welcoming, accessible, and fun. With flexible microphones, Bluetooth audio, and easy-to-use controls, Stewart Elementary is setting the stage (literally!) for events that celebrate learning, student voice, and community connection.
So, while spring break may have felt quiet on campus, big things were happening behind the scenes at Stewart Elementary.
