Outdoor Upgrades at Ridgecrest Elementary Near Completion

Ridgecrest field regrading, Capital Levy project

Outdoor upgrades at Ridgecrest Elementary are nearly complete, continuing our commitment to provide safe and welcoming environments for our students.

This project addresses safety concerns with the raised rock walls on campus and includes:

  • Removing three rockery walls.
  • Regrading the area and installing a crushed gravel pathway from the site's southwest corner.
  • Hydroseeding the slope to prevent erosion.
  • Repairing fencing and adding new fencing around the onsite transformer near the main entry drive.

What does this mean for students and staff? These upgrades create safer outdoor spaces, reducing hazards and ensuring that pathways and play areas are accessible and secure. Additionally, the regraded landscape and hydroseeded slopes make mowing and maintenance more manageable for our landscaping crews, helping to keep the area looking its best.

This project will allow students to focus on outdoor learning, playing, and building connections in a safer environment.

These safety and security improvements to Ridgecrest are part of the voter-approved 2024 Capital Levy, Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us replace, improve, and restore public school infrastructure. Together, we’re building a brighter future for all students.
