Ribbon Cutting Marks New Chapter for Edgerton Playground

Edgerton Elementary playground ribbon cutting

On September 3, students at Edgerton Elementary joined Principal Lauralee Chamberlain in officially opening the school’s brand-new playground with a celebratory ribbon cutting event. Laughter, cheers, and the rush of feet filled the air as students raced to explore the upgraded play space for the first time.

The project, made possible by the voter-approved 2024 Capital Levy, replaces the school’s aging play structure with modern equipment designed for safety, inclusion, and fun. From the popular zipline to climbing towers, slides, and swings, the playground invites active play and imaginative adventures for every student.

Principal Lauralee Chamberlain shared her excitement for what this project means to Edgerton’s learning community. “Our students now have a safe, welcoming, and engaging space to play and connect. This playground represents the joy of learning and growing together, and I am so grateful to our community for making it possible.”

Director of Capital Projects Brady Martin highlighted the value of voter support in bringing projects like this to life. “Playgrounds are more than just equipment. They are gathering places where students build friendships, practice problem-solving, and learn resilience. Thanks to our community’s investment, Edgerton students now have a space that will serve them for years to come.”

The playground ribbon cutting marks the completion of Edgerton’s capital levy improvements, and it stands as a visible reminder of the shared commitment to providing safe and enriching environments for every student.

Thank you to the Edgerton community for your ongoing support. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the daily lives of students.
