New Track and Inclusive Equipment Enhance Learning Environment at Meeker Elementary

We are thrilled to celebrate progress at Meeker! The playground is undergoing a remarkable transformation, with crews now paving a new track around the field and laying down the first layer for an accessible, inclusive play surface. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the Meeker PTA, who raised over $80,000, we are replacing half of our playground equipment with modern, engaging structures!  

This project exemplifies an incredible partnership between parents, the district, and our community, all dedicated to enriching our children's outdoor learning experiences. Supported by voter-approved capital levy funds, the Capital Projects team is also upgrading aging infrastructure, installing stormwater drains and a new track, restriping hard courts, and adding accessible ground cover. 

These improvements are all about creating a safe, inclusive environment for every student at Meeker.
