New Stertil-Koni ECO-60 Bus Lift Installed

Watch our Blue Birds rise! PSD takes great pride in the safety and reliability of our school buses, which are a crucial part of our students’ daily routines. Our bus mechanics are highly skilled professionals who work tirelessly to ensure that these mammoth machines are always in top condition.  

Last year, our transportation crew faced a tough challenge when one of our two bus lifts failed. With only one working lift (the South Bay), it became more difficult for our team to safely service our (large) D-style buses. Thankfully, our mechanics stepped up and proved their expertise using alternative methods such as portable jacks. Even though we couldn't service the buses in our usual location in North Bay, our crews did not miss a beat and were able to handle the situation with professionalism and skill.  

Our Operations and Capital Projects teams have worked hard over the past few months to install a new Stertil-Koni ECO-60 bus lift in our transportation bay. The new lift was paid for with Capital Funds and is essential for us to maintain our 185 school buses and is used daily.
