New Security Cameras Enhance Safety at Brouillet Elementary

Brouillet Elementary School recently took a significant step toward enhancing student safety by installing new security cameras in the bus drop-off and pick-up areas. The upgraded system provides better visibility during key times, such as morning arrivals and afternoon dismissals, ensuring smoother and safer operations for students, staff, and families.

Brady Martin, Director of Capital Projects, emphasized the importance of the new system: “The safety of students and staff is always a district priority. These cameras give the school better visibility and help staff respond more quickly to potential issues during the busiest times of the day.”

The cameras now cover high-traffic areas, including the bus zones and adjacent hallways, allowing school staff and district security teams to monitor activities in real time. This enhanced surveillance improves supervision and ensures that safety concerns are swiftly addressed.

A Broader Commitment to Safety and Security

The installation aligns with the Puyallup School District's Facilities, Safety, and Security Strategic Plan, which prioritizes maintaining safe and supportive learning environments. By investing in robust security measures and timely maintenance, the district aims to create spaces where students can thrive.

Recognizing the vital role that infrastructure plays in education, the district continues to evaluate and invest in safety enhancements across its campuses. The improvements at Brouillet Elementary reflect a broader effort to foster secure and welcoming environments for students and staff alike.

These new security measures at Brouillet Elementary underscore the district's dedication to educational excellence and safety—supporting its mission to create positive spaces for learning and growth.
