Let the Fun Begin! Summer Playground Makeovers Are Underway at Carson Elementary

While students are enjoying a well-deserved summer break, construction crews are getting to work at Carson Elementary. Thanks to voter support of the 2024 Capital Levy, a full playground renovation is now underway, bringing significant improvements to one of the school’s most-used outdoor spaces. 

The existing playground has served students for years but has reached the end of its useful service life. This summer’s project will replace aging equipment and surfaces with a modern play area designed to improve safety, accessibility, and year-round usability for all students. 

The renovation will create a more inclusive environment where children of varying abilities can play, learn, and connect together. Updated equipment and improved site features will help ensure the playground remains a valuable resource for students. 

Construction will take place throughout the summer months while school is out, minimizing disruption to students and staff. When completed, the new playground will provide enhanced opportunities for recreation, physical activity, and social interaction in a welcoming and accessible setting. 

This project is one of many facility improvements funded through the 2024 voter-approved Capital Levy, which supports the district’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve learning environments across the district.
