Fruitland's New Capital Funded Pick-up and Drop-off Loop

Fruitland Elementary Opens New, Capital Levy Funded, Onsite Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Smooth sailing and happy drop-offs at Fruitland Elementary. Families rolled through the school’s brand-new onsite pick-up and drop-off loop for the first time on January 5, 2026, marking a big safety win made possible by voter support of the 2024 Capital Levy.

The improved traffic flow reduces congestion, improves visibility, and helps keep students, families, neighbors, and first responders safer during busy school hours. Thank you to our community for investing in safer schools and to Fruitland families for their patience during construction. Want the full scoop on what changed and why it matters?

Carson and Ziegers New Walking Paths

Less Puddles. More Play. Zeiger Elementary Receives Facility Improvements Funded by the 2024 Capital Levy

Less puddles, more play. Zeiger Elementary is getting a fresh path forward thanks to voter approved funding from the 2024 Capital Levy. Over winter break, crews added a new paved walking path and perimeter fence to improve safety, accessibility, and keep outdoor time cleaner and more enjoyable.

The school also received new gutters and downspouts to replace a system more than 30 years old, helping protect the building for years to come.

These updates support safe, functional learning, and play spaces for Zeiger students and staff.

Energy Saving Lighting at Fruitland Elementary

Light It Up, Only When Needed: Fruitland’s Smarter, Energy-Saving Parking Lot

We’re flipping the switch on wasted energy! Thanks to the 2024 Capital Levy, Fruitland’s parking lot lights now have motion sensors, so they shine bright when you’re around and dim down when no one’s there. That means energy savings, safer walks at night, and more money staying in classrooms. Puyallup School District is lighting the way to a smarter, greener future through our PSD Power Ed program!
