Fresh Look Taking Shape at Carson Elementary

Capital crews on scaffolding install new siding at Carson Elementary

The transformation at Carson Elementary is well underway, and it is beginning to show. With the back of the building nearly complete, construction crews have now turned their attention to the front, continuing the careful process of repairing and residing the building’s exterior.

The new siding is going up section by section, replacing aged, failing materials that could no longer stand up to the region’s weather. The new look is modern, clean, and built to last, and already, it is turning heads.

This work is part of a comprehensive exterior upgrade that includes fresh siding, new flashing, underlayment, sealants, and paint. Together, these improvements are reinforcing the building envelope, enhancing energy efficiency, and extending the life of the school. An independent envelope consultant continues to oversee the work to ensure proper installation and long-term performance.

As before, the school’s play yards remain temporarily closed during active construction for student safety.

This important work is funded by the 2024 voter-approved Capital Levy and exists as one of many projects across the district aimed at protecting our community’s investment in its schools. Thanks to your support, we are tackling critical maintenance now, avoiding more costly repairs later and preserving safe, reliable learning environments for students and staff.
