For our dedicated Sparks Stadium regulars, recent changes might not be immediately visible, but they mark significant improvements in our venue's accessibility and safety. Our Capital Projects crews have been hard at work, enhancing the stadium to better serve our community.
Here is what has been accomplished so far:
Concrete Repairs and Pressure Washing Stairs: The visitor stands have received thorough cleaning and essential concrete repairs, enhancing their aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
Stair Resurfacing: The stairways will be resurfaced to improve safety and appearance.
Widening Aisles: The aisles have been widened to improve traffic flow and accessibility.
Preparation for ADA Handrails: Holes have been drilled for the installation of new handrails. This upgrade is a crucial part of our ADA Handrail project, funded through a grant secured by the Puyallup School District Capital Projects team.
The ADA Handrail project is a significant step towards ensuring that Sparks Stadium is accessible to everyone. With these improvements, we are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all individuals to enjoy our stadium events, regardless of mobility challenges.
We are excited about the upcoming changes and look forward to the enhanced experience they will bring to our community. As we prepare for the fall events, we anticipate a stadium that is not only more accessible but also more enjoyable for all our visitors.
