Edgemont Junior High Track Upgrade to Bring New All-Weather Athletic Facility

Edgemont Junior High on North Hill is preparing for major athletic facility upgrades funded through the 2024 Capital Levy. The improvements are designed to enhance student outdoor learning spaces and support the long-term use of campus facilities. 

The school’s current red cinder track does not meet district standards and will be replaced with a new, all-weather track. The existing six-lane track and has experienced ongoing wear over time. The updated design will provide a modern, surface intended to better support physical education classes, student athletics, and school activities. The updated track at EJH will support both structured learning and everyday opportunities for students to build teamwork, perseverance, and school pride. 

The project will also include drainage improvements to support the new track surface and help maintain long-term performance. 

Construction began this week and will continue through the summer. 

These improvements are made possible by the voter-approved 2024 Capital Levy. Thank you to our community for investing in safe, sustainable, and high-performing spaces for our students.
