Edgemont Junior High Athletic Upgrades Move Forward with Capital Levy Support 

Edgemont Junior High’s track and field upgrades, funded through the 2024 Capital Levy, are underway. These improvements are designed to enhance outdoor learning spaces and support the long-term use of campus facilities. 

Crews are finishing up the perimeter curbing and are beginning on the interior drainage and curbing necessary to prepare the site for the new track surface. 

The school’s existing red cinder track no longer meets district standards and will be replaced with a new all-weather track. The current six-lane track has experienced ongoing wear over time. The updated design will provide a modern surface to better support physical education classes, student athletics, and school activities. 

The new track will support both structured learning and provide daily opportunities for students to build teamwork, perseverance, and school pride. 

Construction will continue through the summer. Follow along to see project progress and key milestones for the Edgemont community.
