We're thrilled to update you on the work happening at Ferrucci Junior High. Crews were onsite yesterday to pave the upper parking lot. Our teams braved the sweltering heat with unwavering dedication to ensure the lot’s completion before school starts on September 6.
This paving project marks the completion of our 2015 Bond state match-funded projects.
We are grateful for your patience this past year. We know it hasn't always been smooth sailing, and we understand the inconvenience this may have caused. Additional work related to stormwater infrastructure will occur next summer or the summer after. We will keep you updated as we learn more about the next phase of this project.
Rest assured, the spending of taxpayer dollars is always done transparently and responsibly. Our school board and district leadership ensure conservative planning and cautious oversight of voter-approved levy and bond funding - essential for financing vital capital projects. All voter-approved 2015 bond projects came in on time and under budget. PSD funds were managed so well that state matching funds were used to fund additional projects, including Ferrucci Junior High and the Kessler Center, saving the district from running another bond for those expansion projects.
