The work of the Bond Advisory Committee (BAC) stands on the foundation of a decade-long collaboration involving staff, students, families, and community volunteers. These groups have dedicated their efforts to researching and planning essential improvements for our district’s aging infrastructure and growing student population. Through ongoing community meetings, valuable feedback has been gathered, and questions answered, refining plans to serve our community’s needs better.
How Committees Support Bond Project Selections
The process begins with the Citizens Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC), which reviews hundreds of projects identified through various sources:
Study & Survey Report (Observed Deficiencies and Predicted Renewals)
Each committee’s work builds upon the following: prioritizing projects that ensure equitable access and updates for students across our district.
Citizens Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC)
CFAC reviews district assets holistically, assesses building conditions, and plans lifecycle projects. Their deliverable includes a 12-year plan, renewal, replacement, additions, and new builds recommendations.
School Capacity and Utilization Task Force
This committee reviews building utilization, growth analysis, and capacity assessments, providing the School Board with essential reports for informed decision-making.
Bond Advisory Committee (BAC)
The BAC is currently reviewing projects identified by the 2021 CFAC and the 2024 School Capacity and Utilization Task Force. Their goal is to compile a concise list of critical projects addressing our growing needs. The BAC will soon present recommendations to the superintendent and School Board regarding a bond scope and financing plan for consideration to be run on a February 11th, 2025 bond election. Final recommendations are due by November 18th, 2024.
