Brouillet Elementary Installs Three New Ramps for Portables to Improve Safety and Accessibility

New metal ramps for portable increase both safety and accessibility at Brouillet

Brouillet Elementary School has completed the installation of new metal ramps for portables 5, 6, and 7, enhancing both safety and accessibility for students and staff. The previous wooden ramps, located under large trees and in a wooded area, had begun to deteriorate due to exposure to the elements and required frequent repairs.

Funded through the 2024 Capital Levy, the new metal ramps are durable and fully ADA-compliant, providing safe and reliable access to the portables year-round.

“The new ramps are an important improvement for our community,” said Marlene Anglemyer of Puyallup School District. “They ensure students and staff can move safely around campus and eliminate the need for ongoing repairs.”

With the project now complete, Brouillet Elementary has taken a significant step in maintaining a secure and accessible learning environment for all.
