and running! Crews are making strong progress on the perimeter curbing as preparations continue for Ballou Junior High’s new all-weather track, funded by the 2024 voter-approved Capital Levy.
The existing red cinder track will be replaced with a modern, all-weather surface designed to better support student athletics and physical education. The project includes the construction of new pre-engineered metal athletics storage buildings. The old woodshed has been removed and replaced with a temporary Conex box after years of weather-rated deterioration and aging infrastructure. The new facility will provide secure, durable storage designed to meet the needs of Ballou’s athletic programs.
Together, these upgrades will enhance outdoor athletic spaces and better support student activities at Ballou Junior High.
