Ballou Junior High: Gym Divider Curtain Replacement Enhances Safety and Functionality

Ballou Junior High Gym Divider

Big news from Ballou Junior High — our gym just leveled up! The old, ripped divider curtain got benched, and a shiny new one is in the game, making the space safer and more versatile for students and staff. The previous curtain was past its prime, making it challenging to keep the gym organized for PE, sports, and multi-use events. Now, it’s game on with more space, fewer distractions, and endless opportunities to play hard and stay safe!

Why the Replacement Matters:

  • Safety First: The new divider curtain reduces distractions and the risk of accidents by clearly marking different areas within the gym. This ensures that activities can occur simultaneously without interfering with each other, giving everyone the space they need to stay safe.

  • Maximizing Space: The updated curtain allows us to better utilize the gym for various purposes. Whether it is multiple sporting events, classes, or other activities, we can now create separate spaces, making the gym more functional for our school community.

  • Cost-Effective Solution: Choosing to replace the curtain rather than invest in permanent dividers is a more affordable option. The curtain can be quickly drawn back when larger-scale events or activities require the entire gym space.

We are excited about the improvement of this latest capital project and look forward to seeing our gym in full use for the benefit of everyone at Ballou Junior High!

Keep an eye out for more upgrades districtwide—we're gearing up for a busy summer full of exciting improvements!
