Senior Spotlight! From Student to Stakeholder: Daniel Helps Shape the Future of School Capacity Planning

Daniel brought student voice to the table as a member of the Puyallup School District’s School Capacity and Utilization Task Force (SCUT). As an Emerald Ridge High School student, he helped shape conversations about growth, space, and the future of local schools. His experience connected classroom learning with real-world decision making and leadership.

Glacier View and Ferrucci Junior High

2026–27 Boundary Review Committee Applications Open 

Puyallup School District is forming a Boundary Review Committee to evaluate potential boundary changes between Glacier View and Ferrucci Junior High schools. 

The committee will review enrollment trends, building capacity, and other factors to develop a community-based recommendation for the Board of Directors. 

Families, community members, and junior high students are encouraged to apply.

Edgemont Junior High Track Updates

Edgemont Junior High Track Upgrade to Bring New All-Weather Athletic Facility 

Edgemont Junior High on North Hill is preparing for major athletic facility upgrades funded through the 2024 Capital Levy. The project includes replacing the current red cinder track with a new all-weather track, along with drainage improvements. Construction began this week and will continue through the summer.

These improvements are made possible by the voter-approved 2024 Capital Levy. Thank you to our community for investing in safe, sustainable, and high-performing spaces for our students.
